Kuon 久遠 — Miyano Mamoru 宮野 真守

Miyano Mamoru @ ReleaseThe 美しい (beautiful) Miyano Mamoru has released the full version of Kuon 久遠, the ending song of Koutetsu Sangokushi 鋼鉄三国志 on the 28th of May. I’ve just gotten my hands on the song and it is absolutely wonderful.

What can I say about the smooth voice and tinkly accents? Nothing short of superb. As expected from Mamo, obviously.

The mobicam photo on the left is from Miyano’s own mobile (I love the fact that he blogs — regularly) and a photograph in the CD jacket.

Incongruency at its finest

Ishida Uryuu (Bleach)I can barely believe that Bleach’s Ishida Uryuu’s voice comes from a guy like Sugiyama Noriaki 杉山 紀. Don’t be mistaken, there’s nothing wrong with Sugiyama exactly… it’s just that… you don’t generally expect Dopey to have such a perky and intelligent-sounding voice. Sigh. Look at Uryuu for goodness’ sake, or Uchiha Sasuke (Naruto) for that matter. Double sigh.

So sue me. I’m sorry, Sugiyama, but it’s incredibly unsettling.

Watch Sugiyama and Morita Masakazu 森田 成一 (Kurosaki Ichigo) sing Aesthetics and Identity from the Bleach Beat Collection (Ishida Uryuu) live. I’m a little reserved about the gesturing. (-.-;)

It’s time, I believe, for a fresh new start.

I’m a jaded blogger, having blogged for approximately 2-3 years. After such a long time on the scene, it’s about time I rehashed things and deleted the old posts into oblivion at the start of my new career as an educator after 4 years of gruelling study (so help me God, never again). Looking back, I cringe at my immaturity at times and the angst which I displayed with such ease.

And I hate angst. What an irony.

So I’ve begun my new journey, with a sparkling new blog with a lot of brand new mischief-makers known, rather affectionately, as my precious students. They’re a wonderful lot and an adorable bunch. Not without their shortcomings obviously. The lack of a permanent form teacher has caused behaviour to atrophy to the point where violence exists within the classroom.

And the management believes I’m fit for the job. I think they’re incredibly optimistic. Nonetheless, I shall do my best because hell, I’m a perfectionist and as the Singaporeans say, “like to spoil market”.

Wish me the best of luck!
